Iligan and other cities in the Visayas and the Bicol region were paralyzed with the nationwide transport strike launched by Piston. Metro Manila, meanwhile, is also reeling from the strike. Almost 80 to 90% paralysis in the metropolis. Same goes to other parts of Mindanao and Northern Luzon. A PISTON regional president Mr. Joel Ascudia was assasinated by agents of the military. The PISTON National leadership condemned the killing.
Meanwhile, small oil players said that they are willing to slash 5 pesos from pump prices. Ganon naman pala. Bakit ngayon lang at bakit ganun lang? Motorists are entitled to as much as 8 pesos price cut, according to the Consumer Oil Price Watch and the NEDA.
